Sommerro is delighted to invite you to an evening with Susanne Sundfør in Ekspedisjonshallen.
Susanne Sundfør is one of the most distinctive voices in the Nordics – an artist who constantly seeks truth and beauty, following the music wherever it leads. With her warm presence and expressive voice, she creates a space where the poetic and the earthly meet.
This evening she shares the stage with saxophonist André Roligheten, one of Norway’s most respected jazz musicians, known for his open approach and ability to listen his way into new sonic landscapes. Together they explore the borderlands between jazz, folk and modern chamber pop – with improvisation, silence, and emotion as their compass.
The concert draws inspiration from Sundfør’s critically acclaimed album blómi – a work rooted in Norse mythology, nature’s cycles, and the human search for meaning. In the meeting between Sundfør’s voice and Roligheten’s saxophone, a musical language emerges that feels both ancient and new, intimate and grand.
With a 3-course dinner to begin the evening and an intimate concert in unique surroundings, we invite you to a night where music breathes freely and every tone unfolds into its own small universe.
