On September 20, 2025, Days of August returns to Oslo with an intimate concert at Sommerro! They’re bringing along a brand-new EP.
Days of August has just released their fourth EP, Postcards – Alternative Versions. This EP is a small collection of four songs from their 2023 album Postcards, re-recorded in a new style. The band describes the tracks as stripped-down, minimalist, and more vulnerable than the originals. Where the songs were once grand and epic, they are now calmer and more sentimental—perhaps more of a “campfire vibe.” The idea was to draw something different out of the songs by altering the instrumental arrangements slightly. Pedal steel plays a major role in this EP, which the band says was a deliberate choice to elevate the songs to a more dreamy and beautiful level.
