The Wim Hof Method has taken the world by storm the past few years. This method has been shown to give us access to influence the autonomic nervous system, hormonal system and immune system, leaving us more robust and resilient.
The Wim Hof Method consists of three components: breath, focus/mental training and cold exposure. These 3 elements help you explore your own physiology and capacity, which provides valuable strength in a life with physical and mental stress. This method is suitable for people who want more energy, counteract stress, anxiety, concern and reduce chronic inflammatory conditions.
The class begins with a thorough introduction to breathing and focus on mental preparation. Then we will do an ice bath combined with infrared sauna. The infrared sauna has unique benefits, and the heat penetrates five times deeper into the body in comparison to a traditional sauna.
You don’t need prior knowledge to take the class. This method is not recommended if you are pregnant or if you have epilepsy. The class can be held in Norwegian or English.
You should wear light clothes you can move in and swim wear. The hotel will provide you with a towel.
